Annual Holiday Food Basket Program Celebrates 27th Consecutive Year

Prince George’s County, Maryland… The public safety agencies of Prince George’s County will have breakfast and hold a press conference to mark the official kickoff of the Annual Holiday Food Basket Program to benefit needy families in Prince George’s County. Celebrating its 27th consecutive year, agency heads and personnel from the Office of the Sheriff, the Police Department, the Fire/EMS Department, Department of Corrections, Public Safety Communications and the Office of Homeland Security will be on hand to fill the official first baskets that begin the month-long process of preparing and delivering food baskets to county families.
What:  Breakfast/ Press Conference-Kickoff of the  27th  Annual Holiday Food Basket Program
Who:    Executive Director Public Safety Assistance Fund; Directors of the County Public Safety Agencies, County Officials, other supporters, citizens and residents.
When:  Monday, December 19, 2011
7:30 a.m.  Join us for the best breakfast in town – the “Hearty  Fireman’s Breakfast.”
9:00 a.m.  Press Conference with Directors of the Public  Safety Agencies,County Officials/Executive Director of the Public Safety Assistance Program
 10:00 a.m. Santa is escorted to the Emerson House to visit with  seniors.
   11:00a.m. Santa visits Riverdale Elementary School
