The employee was approached by an adult male wearing a mask and displaying a handgun. The suspect took cash and checks from the employee and ran from the area. As the robbery was occurring, Corporal E. Crumb of the Sheriff’s Internal Affairs Division, who was in the area, saw the suspect pull the mask over his face and flee. After a brief inquiry Corporal Crumb apprehended the suspect.
The cash and checks were recovered upon McIntyre’s arrest. He was also in possession of a pellet gun thought to have been used in the crime.
The investigation was turned over to the Prince George’s County Police who subsequently arrested Vincent Howard McIntyre, the suspect’s father, after he implicated himself in the crime with his son.
