Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested/Closes Two Violent Crime Warrants

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Friday of Roberto Miles on an Armed Robbery warrant obtained by County Police, District II detectives on July 3, 2012. According to the warrant, on June 12, 2012, Miles and an unknown accomplice are alleged to have robbed three people of their belongings and vehicle at gunpoint before pepper spraying the victims at a hotel in Largo, Md.  

Deputies investigating Miles whereabouts were led to the 3200 block of Walters Lane in Forestville, MD where Miles was located and taken into custody without incident. Miles was transported to the Prince George’s County Correctional Center, where he is being held on a “No Bond” status.

In addition to the Armed Robbery, the arrest also closes a First Degree Assault warrant for Miles obtained by County Police District III detectives on June 21, 2012.  According to that warrant, the suspect and an unknown accomplice were alleged to have robbed a woman and a man of their property at gunpoint at the same hotel on May 16, 2012.

Miles is being charged with two counts of Theft: Less than $1,000.00, two counts of Theft: $1,000.00 - $100,000.00, Use of Mace/Chemical Device with the Intent to Injure, Firearm Use in the Commission of a Crime of Violence, Unlawful taking of a Motor Vehicle, three counts of Armed Robbery, and three counts of First Degree Assault .
