Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Attempted Murder Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest yesterday of Jasmine Marie James on an Attempted First Degree Murder warrant obtained by County Police, District III detectives on July 2, 2012. According to the warrant, James allegedly stabbed a male victim, with whom she was romantically involved, following an argument yesterday in the 6200 Block of Maxwell Dr, in Suitland Md.

Deputies were contacted by District III detectives for assistance in locating James. Following hours of surveillance and interviews, James surrendered and was taken into custody yesterday in the 5300 Block of Ludlow Dr, Temple Hills, MD.

James was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections where she is charged with Attempted First and Second Degree Murder, First and Second Degree Assault, and Reckless Endangerment. District III detectives were notified of her arrest.
