Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Attempted Murder Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest yesterday of Andrea Lee on an arrest warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder, obtained by County Police CID detectives on August 28, 2012.

According to the warrant, Lee entered a vehicle repair shop in the 5600 block of Spring St., Clinton, MD, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from two victims. The warrant further states that Lee assaulted one of the victims with a pipe, stole $180.00, and threatened to kill both the victims.

Deputies investigating Lee’s whereabouts were contacted yesterday by a witness, and notified that Lee was at the Hyattsville Parole and Probation Office. Deputies immediately responded to the Hyattsville location and apprehended him without incident.

CID detectives were notified of Lee’s arrest, and he was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections – charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, Armed Robbery, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Illegal Possession of Handgun, and Theft under $1000.00.
