Warrant Squad Arrests 1st Degree Burglary Suspect


Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest yesterday of Sayquawn Payne on a First Degree Burglary warrant obtained by County Police District III detectives on July 27, 2012.

According to the warrant, on June 26, 2012, Payne and two accomplices allegedly forced their way into an apartment in the 4400 block of Arnold Road in Suitland, MD, taking the home owner’s property valuing at $1,000.00 and causing over $1,000.00 of damages before fleeing.

Deputies investigating Payne’s whereabouts were led to the 5100 block of Fable Street in Capitol Heights, MD where Payne was located and apprehended without incident. He was transported to the County Police Criminal Investigations Division (CID).

Payne is also charged with Third and Fourth Degree Burglary, Malicious Destruction of Property and Theft: $1,000.00 to under $10,000.00.
