Deputies Arrest Felony Burglary Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest yesterday of Mark Atuonah on an arrest warrant for First Degree Burglary, obtained by County Police District II detectives on December 26, 2012.

According to the warrant, Atuonah broke into a residence in the 6600 block of 97th Avenue in Lanham, MD, and stole a Nintendo Wii video gaming system, two laptop computers, various items of sports memorabilia, a computer hard drive and $600.00 in U.S. currency. A subsequent police investigation led to a search warrant being served on Atuonah’s residence in Lanham, MD, where he was located with the Nintendo Wii. Detectives subsequently obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Deputies investigating the whereabouts of Atuonah were led to a residence in the 6500 block of 97th Avenue in Lanham, MD, where he was located and apprehended.

Detectives were notified of the arrest and Atuonah was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections – charged with First Degree Burglary, Misdemeanor theft and Malicious Destruction of Property.
