Deputies Arrest Attempted Murder Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Wednesday of Terrell Hightower on an arrest warrant for First Degree Attempted Murder obtained by County Police District III detectives on March 7, 2013.
 
According to the warrant, Hightower shot at two victims as they were operating a vehicle at the intersection of Nova Ave. and Doppler St. in Capitol Heights, MD, on January 1, 2013. Hightower was subsequently identified as the shooter by a witness. The shooting caused approximately $1,500.00 dollars worth of damage to the vehicle that the victims were operating.

Deputies investigating Hightower’s whereabouts were led to a residence in the 1300 block of Coral Gardens Ct. in Capitol Heights, MD, where they located and apprehended him without incident.

District III detectives were notified of Hightower’s arrest and he was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections – charged with First Degree Attempted Murder, First Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Violent Crime and Illegal Possession of a Handgun.
