Deputies Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Saturday of Maurice Foreman on an arrest warrant for Armed Robbery obtained by County Police District I detectives on March 19, 2013.

According to the warrant, Foreman approached a male victim in the 2900 block of Allison St. in Mt. Rainier, MD, on March 15, 2013, pointed a black handgun at him and demanded money. As the victim attempted to defend himself, Foreman used the handgun to strike him several times in the face. During the struggle, the defendant was able to move the gun just prior to Foreman firing a shot at him.  District I detectives identified Foreman as a suspect and subsequently sought a warrant for his arrest.

Deputies investigating Foreman’s whereabouts were led to a residence in the 600 block of Eastern Ave. in Washington, D.C, where they located and apprehended him without incident.

District I detectives were notified of Foreman’s arrest and he was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections – charged with Armed Robbery, Robbery, First and Second Degree Assault, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Reckless Endangerment, and Illegal Possession of a Handgun.
