Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Felony Assault Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Saturday of Shamika Manley on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault, obtained by County Police District III detectives on January 29, 2013.

According to the warrant, Manley was involved in a verbal argument with a male victim at a residence in the 7100 block of Marbury Ct. in District Heights, MD, on December 25, 2012. Following the argument, Manley and an unidentified male struck the victim multiple times about the head and face. The warrant further states that seventy dollars and a set of keys stolen from his pockets and that the victim was treated for a broken jaw and nose. Police Detectives identified Manley as a suspect and sought a warrant for her arrest.

Deputies investigating the whereabouts of Manley were led to a residence in the 6500 block of Hil-Mar Dr. in District Heights, MD, where they located and apprehended her without incident.

District III detectives were notified of Manley’s arrest and she was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections – charged with First and Second Degree Assault, Robbery and Misdemeanor Theft.
