Deputies Arrest Attempted Murder Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Wednesday of Ramone Watkins on an arrest warrant for 2nd Degree Attempted Murder, obtained by County Police District I detectives on June 26, 2013.

According to the warrant, Watkins was involved in a verbal argument at his residence in the 5300 block of 67th Ave. in Riverdale, MD, with a male victim, on June 20, 2013. Following the argument, Watkins allegedly stabbed the victim in the neck with a box cutter and fled the scene. It is unclear whether the victim, who is a relative of Watkins, resided at the above address.

Deputies investigating Watkins’s whereabouts located and apprehended him at his residence in the 5300 block of 67th Ave. in Riverdale, MD.

District I detectives were notified of Watkins’s arrest and he was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections – charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, First and Second Degree Assault, and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon with Intent to Injure.
