Warrant Deputies Arrest Murder Suspect in 2008 Temple Hills Homicide

(Suspect turned over to Police Detectives)

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest today of Maurice Braswell on an arrest warrant for First Degree Murder obtained by the County Police Criminal Investigation Division (CID) on July 1, 2013.

According to the warrant, Braswell shot a male victim outside of a residential party in the 6300 block of Arwen Court in Fort Washington, MD in June of 2008.  Braswell allegedly fled the scene following the incident.

Deputies located Braswell at a 28th Avenue business office in Temple Hills, MD; deputies identified and apprehended him without incident. Braswell was transported to CID detectives.

In addition to First Degree Murder, Braswell is also charged with Second Degree Murder, Handgun on Person, and Handgun Use during a Felonious Violent Crime.
