Deputies Arrest Burglary Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Demiyal Edwards on an arrest warrant for First Degree Burglary obtained by County Police detectives on July 31, 2013.

According to the warrant, Edwards climbed into an unsecured window of a residence in the 6900 block of Allentown Rd. in Temple Hills, MD, on June 20, 2013, and stole a black back pack containing medication and a bank card belonging to the victim, before fleeing the scene. The warrant also advises that, in a separate incident, Edwards pried open a basement window of the same residence and stole approximately $120.00, a driver’s license, and two bank cards belonging to the same victim.

Deputies investigating Edwards’s whereabouts were led to the 6800 block of Bershire Dr. in temple Hills MD, where they located and apprehended him without incident.

District IV detectives were notified of the arrest and Edwards was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections – charged with First and Third Degree Burglary.
