Deputies make Arrest/Close Solicitation of Attempted First Degree Murder Warrant

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of James Lewis on an arrest warrant for Solicitation of Attempted First Degree Murder obtained by Maryland-National Capital Park Police, Prince George’s County Division  Detectives on March 6, 2014.

According to the warrant, in February 2014, Lewis and the victim were part of a group fight in the intersection of Chillum Manor Rd and Conley Rd in Hyattsville, MD. The warrant further states that following the altercation Lewis displayed a black handgun and petitioned an unidentified male to engage in the dispute. When the two groups began to disperse the unidentified male began to shoot at the victim and his group. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the arm. 

On receipt of the warrant, Deputies began investigating Lewis’ whereabouts. He was located in the 9100 block of Edmonston Rd in Greenbelt where he was taken into custody and transported to the Prince George’s County Detention Center.

Lewis is also charged with Solicitation of Second Degree Murder, Solicitation of First Degree Murder, Solicitation of First Degree Assault and Solicitation of Second Degree Assault.
