Deputies Arrest 1st Degree Assault Suspect


Upper Marlboro, MD… The Sheriff’s Office Domestic Violence Intervention Division (DVID) has reported the arrest of Dwayne Fountain on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault, obtained by County Police Detectives on April 26, 2014.

According to the warrant, on April 21st, Fountain entered a towing company in the 7200 block of Landover Rd, in Landover MD inquiring about his vehicle that had been previously impounded. When employees were assisting other customers, Fountain entered
the storage area of the towing lot and used a spare key to retrieve the impounded vehicle and drove it out of the tow lot without making payment. When a store employee attempted to stop Fountain, he threatened the employee at gunpoint before fleeing. The warrant further states, on the following day members of the District Heights Police Department located Fountain’s vehicle parked in the 6600 block of District Heights Pkwy, bearing stolen license plates.

Deputies investigating Fountain’s whereabouts located him on Monday, April 28th at the residence where the vehicle was found. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections. 

Fountain is also charged with Theft: Less than $100.00, Theft: Less than $1,000, Handgun in Vehicle, and Handgun on Person.
