Warrant/Fugitive Deputies Arrest Robbery Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/ Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Erick Medrano-Posada of Riverdale, MD on an arrest warrant for Robbery that was obtained by the Prince George’s County Police Department on October 3, 2014.

According to the warrant, on October 1, 2014, a male victim was parked in the 5700 block of 64th Place in Riverdale, MD when a work style van drove up and blocked his vehicle. Medrano-Posada is alleged to have exited the van and demanded personal property taking the victim’s cell phone, wallet and $144.00. The warrant further states that a physical altercation ensued between Medrano-Posada and the victim that resulted in Medrano-Posada pressing the gas pedal which caused the van to accelerate and dragging the victim several feet.  

Upon receipt of the warrant, Deputies began an investigation into Medrano-Posada’s whereabouts. On October 8, 2014, Warrant and Fugitive Deputies arrested Medrano-Posada without incident at a residence in the 5100 block of Edmonston Road in Riverdale, MD.  He was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

Medrano-Posada is also charged with Second Degree Assault and Theft: Less than $1,000.
