Attempted 2nd Degree Murder Suspect Arrested


Upper Marlboro, MD… The Prince George's County Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/ Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Jerome Williams, Jr. of Suitland, MD on an arrest warrant for Attempted Second Degree Murder that was obtained by County Police on March 21, 2013.


According to the warrant, on January 30, 2013, in the 5600 block of Regency Park Court in Suitland, MD, Williams and a male victim had been drinking beer for several hours. They later went to pick up Williams’ girlfriend and Williams began to argue with her. The warrant indicates that when the victim asked to be dropped off at his residence, Williams became enraged, retrieved a blunt tool from his trunk that is believed to be a hammer and struck the victim in the head. The warrant further states that the victim was transported to the hospital where he was treated for serious injuries to the head.  

After receiving the warrant and after extensive investigation, deputies learned that Williams could be located in the 1300 block of Iverson Street in Oxon Hill, MD. Deputies were granted entry into the residence where they found Williams hiding in the bathroom; he was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Upper Marlboro Department of Corrections for processing.

Williams is also charged with Assault 1st Degree, assault 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment, and Dangerous Weapon Openly with Intent to Injure.
