Deputies Arrest Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Prince George's County Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/ Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Airmus Dillard of Capitol Heights, MD on an arrest warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder obtained by the Prince George’s County Police Department on January 8, 2014.

According to the warrant, in January 2014, Dillard and another male victim were engaged in an argument that turned physical at a residence located in the 6400 block of Valley Park Road in Capitol Heights, MD.  Dillard retrieved an edged weapon from his room and struck the victim, penetrating his chest cavity. An investigation developed Dillard as the suspect, and a warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest. 

 On January 12, 2015, Deputies responded to the address of the incident in search of Dillard. An occupant of the home allowed the deputies to enter the residence where they located Dillard hiding in a bedroom closet. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections. 

Dillard is also charged with First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault and Dangerous Weapon with the Intent to Cause Injury
