Sheriff’s Landlord & Tenant Deputies Uncover Drugs and Firearms During Eviction Security Sweep #PGSO

Upper Marlboro, MD… Members of the Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office Landlord and Tenant Division, on March 25, while securing the premises of a single-family residence prior to supervising an eviction in the 7200 block of Den Meade Avenue in Fort Washington, MD, discovered two guns, drug paraphernalia, and drugs packaged for distribution.

The resident of the home, Marcus Minor, who arrived on the scene after the drugs and weapons had been located, was detained by Sheriff’s Deputies who notified the County Police Narcotics Enforcement Division (NED). NED arrived and took custody of Minor and what appeared to be marijuana, crack cocaine, and powdered cocaine from the residence.

The defendant Minor was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections and was incarcerated without Bond. Minor was charged with CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute, CDS Possession Marijuana, CDS Possession not Marijuana, CDS Possession Paraphernalia, and CDS Possession of a firearm.

“This seizure of guns and drugs demonstrates the importance of the presence of Sheriff’s Deputies while supervising an eviction to maintain public safety which sometimes results in contraband or evidence of other crimes,” said Captain Sharon Saunders, Commander Civil and Landlord & Tenant Division.
