Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report #PGSO


First Degree Assault Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Garrett Bailey of Bowie, MD, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault that was obtained by the Bowie City Police Department on March 26, 2015.

According to the warrant, on March 23, in the 15000 block of Collington Road in Bowie, MD, Bailey approached a male acquaintance while in his vehicle, allegedly waved a handgun, cocked it and pointed it at him, then drove off. According to the warrant, Bailey had pervious issues with the victim involving a female associate.

Upon receipt of the warrant, on April 8th, Warrant Division Fugitive Apprehension & Surveillance Team (FAST) deputies’ investigation determined that Bailey could be located at an address in the 4000 block of Wakefield Lane in Bowie, MD. They were granted access to the residence where they spotted the suspect in the backyard club house.  Bailey was taken into custody and transported to Bowie City Police Station.

                                                         First Degree Assault Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Nehemias Hernandez of Hyattsville, MD, on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault that was obtained by County Police on April 7, 2015.

According to the warrant, on April 7, 2015, Hernandez and his pregnant girlfriend were engaged in an argument that turned physical at a residence located in the 500 block of Chillum Road in Hyattsville, MD. During the altercation, Hernandez allegedly pushed her to the ground, struck her in the face, kneed her in the stomach and strangled her. The warrant states that Hernandez threw cologne on the victim and threatened to kill her if she called the police. Hernandez fled the scene.

Upon receiving the warrant, on April 9th, Deputies canvassed the area of the incident; Hernandez was found in a nearby apartment building. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the District I Police Station.

Hernandez is also charged with Second Degree Assault.
