Sheriff’s Deputies Involved in Shooting after Domestic Violence Attack


Upper Marlboro, MD… The Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office reported a deputy-involved shooting Sunday night that occurred in the 900 block of Nalley Road in Landover, MD. The shooting occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m., after deputies pursued the vehicle of a suspect identified in a Domestic Violence attack.

The suspect drove to the 900 block of Nalley Road where he rammed into a Deputy’s vehicle with his truck. Information at this time indicates that two Deputies discharged their agency issued firearms, striking the suspect. He was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Consistent with standard procedure, the Prince George’s County Police Department is conducting an investigation into the shooting. The Sheriff’s Policy Compliance Division is conducting a concurrent administrative investigation. The deputies involved are five and six year veterans and have been placed on routine Administrative Leave pending further investigation.

Information on the Deputies involved will be released on May 12, 2015. Notifications to the next of kin for the deceased are being handled by the Prince George’s County Police Department.
