Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report #PGSO

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:
 
    First Degree Burglary Suspect Arrested  
 
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Brian Epps of Hyattsville, MD who was wanted on an arrest warrant for First Degree Burglary obtained by County Police on June 18, 2015.

The warrant states that on July 6, 2014, Epps was in the 6000 block of 100th Ave in Lanham, MD, where he allegedly stole two flat screen televisions, an air conditioning unit, and a push lawnmower valued at $2,000. The warrant also states that the burglary caused approximately $800.00 of damage within the residence.

On June 25th, Epps turned himself in at Sheriff’s Headquarters without incident and he was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

Epps is also charged with Malicious Destruction of Property, Theft 1,000 to under 10,000 and Burglary Third Degree.

Suspect Arrested for Attempted First Degree Murder

Sheriff’s deputies extradited Derrick Herndon to Prince George’s County, MD on June 29th from the Albemarle Regional Jail located in Charlottesville, Virginia. Herndon, who is from Charlottesville, Virginia, was wanted on an arrest warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder issued by the Circuit Court of Prince George's County on April 14, 2015.

According to the warrant, on January 7, 2014, in the 5000 block of 18th Ave in Hyattsville, Md. Herndon and a male victim were involved in an argument over money while sitting in Herndon’s vehicle. The warrant further states that the victim jumped out the car to flee when Herndon is alleged to have pulled out a handgun, which he fired, striking the victim in the bicep. Herndon fled the scene.

Herndon is also charged Attempted Second Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, Firearm Use/Felony Violent Crime, Reckless Endangerment from a Motor Vehicle, and Firearm Possession with Felony Conviction.
