Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report #PGSO

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:
 Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Karongan Sacko of Hyattsville, MD who was wanted on an arrest warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder obtained by the Hyattsville Police department on October 15, 2015.

The warrant states that on October 14th, Sacko was in the 4200 block of Kennedy Street in Hyattsville, MD, where he is alleged to have knocked on a door and told the victim who answered to exit the house. The warrant further states that Sacko pointed a handgun at the victim and threatened to kill him but the victim ran back into the house and called the police, and Sacko left before police arrived.

  On October 19th Sheriff’s deputies knocked on the door of Sacko’s residence on Belcrest road where they were allowed entry by a relative. Sacko was located inside the residence and taken into custody without incident; he was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections. 

Sacko is also charged with Assault First Degree and Assault Second Degree.

Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Donte Casson of Landover, MD who was wanted on an arrest warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder obtained by the County Police department on October 24, 2015.

According to the warrant Casson and another male are alledged to have approached a group of people walking thru the woods near the 7600 block of Allendale Circle in Landover. The warrant futher states that Casson became involved in an argument with one group member when he pulled out and pointed a handgun at them, and that Casson fired a shot at the group that struck one person as they began to run. The warrant further states that Casson fled the scene in an unknown direction and the victim was transported to hospital with injuries.

On October 28th Sheriff deputies went to Capitol Heights and knocked on the door of a known friend of Casson’s. The owner of the residence opened the door and was asked if Casson was there. The suspect  came down the stairs and was placed into custody without incident.  He was transported to County Police District III Detectives.

Casson is also charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, Assualt First Degree, Firearm use in a Felonious Violent Crime, Assault Second Degree, Reckless Endangerment, and Handgun on Person.
