Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report #PGSO

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:

First Degree Assault Suspect Arrested
 
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Albert Alaofin of Riverdale, MD, on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by the County Police Department on November 30, 2015.

According to the warrant, on November 12th, at a local barbershop in the 7000 block of Annapolis Road in Hyattsville, MD., Alaofin allegedly struck a male victim in the head with an unknown object while the victim was receiving a haircut, after which he fled the scene. The warrant also states that Alaofin and the victim were longtime acquaintances.

On December 4th, Sheriff’s deputies located Alaofin in the 6000 block of Riverdale Road in Riverdale, Md. Alaofin refused to allow deputies a peaceful entry and immediately slammed and locked the door. Deputies gave several verbal commands at the door and Alaofin surrendered. He was taken into custody and transported to the Department of Corrections for processing.

Alaofin is also charged with Reckless Endangerment and Second Degree Assault.

Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Trevon Redd of Capitol Heights, MD, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for Armed Robbery that was obtained by the County Police on October 21, 2015.

According to the warrant, on September 17th, in the 3000 block of Pearl Drive in Suitland, MD., Redd and another suspect followed a male victim into an apartment building. In the building, Redd is alleged to have pointed a handgun at the victim whom he assaulted and demanded money, after which they fled the scene.

Upon receipt of the warrant on December 7th, deputies made contact with an individual who persuaded Redd to turn himself in. Deputies arranged a meeting with Redd at Sheriff Headquarters where he was placed into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

Redd is also charged with Firearm Use/Felony Violent Crime, and First and Second Degree Assault.
