Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report #PGSO

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:

Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Nikia Gary of Clinton, MD, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for Armed Robbery that was obtained by the Bowie State University Police Department on December 1, 2015.

According to the warrant, on November 5, 2015, in the 14000 block of Jericho Park Road in Bowie, MD, Gary arranged a meeting with the victim to purchase some electronic devices. Gary along with a male accomplice allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and demanded the victims’ property after which they fled the scene.

Upon receipt of the warrant, on December 7, deputies made contact with an individual who persuaded Gary to turn herself in. Deputies arranged a meeting with Gary where she was placed into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

Gary is also charged with Robbery, First Degree Assault, and Theft $1,000 to under $10,000 and Firearm Use/Felony Violent Crime.

First Degree Assault Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jelaney Stewart of Laurel, MD, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault that was obtained by the Laurel City Police Department on November 29, 2015.

According to the warrant, on November 26, 2015, Stewart and a female victim were engaged in an argument that turned physical at a residence located in the 14000 block of Ashford Place in Laurel, MD. Stewart allegedly struck the victim with a closed fist and kicked her in the stomach. The warrant also states that the victim was seven months pregnant and was taken to the hospital for observation.  

Upon receipt of the warrant, deputies’ along with Laurel City Police Department located Stewart at the same address of the incident, where he was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Department of Correction in Hyattsville, MD for processing.

Stewart is also charged with Reckless Endangerment, Second Degree Assault, and Second Degree Child Abuse.
