First Degree Burglary Suspect Arrested
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Saleem Lewis of Upper Marlboro, MD who was wanted on an arrest warrant for First Degree Burglary obtained by County Police on April 19, 2016.
According to the warrant, on April 6, at a residence in the 8000 block of Barnsley Court in Laurel, MD, Lewis is alleged to have cut the patio screen and gained entry through the patio door. Multiple items were reported stolen from the house including several items of electronics and personal items valued at approximately $2,600.
On April 29, 2016, Sheriff Deputies located Lewis in the 10000 block of Prince Place in Largo, MD. Lewis answered the door and was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections (DOC) for processing.
Lewis is also charged with Third Degree Burglary and Theft 1,000 to under 10,000.
Second Degree Rape Suspect Arrested
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Oliver Hernandez of New Carrolton, MD on a warrant for Second Degree Rape that was issued by the County Police on March 9, 2016.
According to the warrant, on November 2, 2014, while in a home in the 6000 block of 87th Avenue in New Carrolton, MD, Hernandez engaged in sexual contact with an underage victim. On April 28th, after several attempts, deputies located Hernandez at the residence of which the sexual assault is alleged to have occurred. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
Hernandez is also charged with First and Second Degree Assault and Fourth Degree Sex Offense.
