This work is at the core of our partnership with the State Office of Child Support Enforcement, bringing individuals before the court to facilitate the collection of child support payments that provide for children in the care of custodial parents.” said Captain Sharon Saunders, Civil Divisions Assistant Chief, Bureau of Field Operations.
The Summer sweep included partners Charles County Sheriff, Calvert County Sheriff, and Anne Arundel County Sheriff Office. Sheriff’s deputies attempted service of 80 warrants during the sweep with five teams of deputies, with an additional team available to handle paperwork. The Sweep was comprised of the Sheriff’s CSEU deputies, along with deputies from the Warrant/ Fugitive Division, the Planning, Research & Development Division, and the District Court Division with support from clerical staff.
Captain Saunders went on to say that the operation’s success was made possible by the careful planning and execution of the teams and the staff who supported them.”
