Robbery and Theft Suspects Arrested #PGSO

Robbery Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jordan Dimopoulos, of Beltsville, MD on an arrest warrant for Robbery obtained by County Police on July 7, 2016.

According to the warrant, on May 31, Dimopoulos was at a local convenience store in the 4400 block of Powder Mill Road in Beltsville, MD when he allegedly snatched  money from a patron as she was paying the cashier. Dimopoulos then fled in a vehicle and a witness was able to obtain the tag information; the incident was also captured on video surveillance.

Upon receipt of the warrant,  deputies’ investigation led them to an address in in the 4800 block of Manheim Avenue in Beltsville, MD. When deputies arrived at the location they were granted peaceful entry into the residence.  Dimopoulos was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

Theft Suspect Arrested 

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Christopher Wells, of Temple Hills, MD on an arrest warrant for Theft under $10,000 that was obtained by the County Police on June 21, 2016.

The warrant states that on June 13 Wells was caught on store surveillance leaving a Home Depot location with a loaded shopping cart of items without paying. According to the warrant the store loss prevention officer estimated the value of the stolen goods to be over $1,500. Wells was identified through prior contact with loss prevention at another Home Depot location.

On June 27, deputies’ investigation determined that Wells could be located at Prince George’s Hospital. Deputies waited until Wells was discharged an advised him that he had an open warrant. Wells was then taken into custody and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections without incident.

 Wells is also charged with Theft Scheme $1,000 to under $10,000.
