Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report


Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:
  First Degree Assault Subject Arrested

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Sheena Brackett, of Alexandria, VA on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by the County Police on December 16, 2016.

The warrant states that on December 15th, Brackett was in the 4400 block of Rena Road in Suitland, MD where she became involved in an argument with another female. During the argument Brackett is alleged to have picked up a 3-inch folding knife and began to swing it while in close proximity of the victim. The warrant states that the victim suffered a laceration to her cheek and neck. As the victim used a blanket to control the bleeding, Brackett fled the scene.

The deputies’ investigation determined that Brackett could be located at an address in the 2200 block of Anvil Lane in Temple Hills, MD. Deputies went to the location and were granted entry by a resident. Brackett was advised by deputies of the warrant, placed into custody and transported to the Prince George’s County Police District III where custody was turned over to the detective without incident.

Brackett is also charged with Second Degree Assault.

 First Degree Assault Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s Deputies Arrested Marquis Smith of Hyattsville, MD on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault that was obtained by the County Police on December 8, 2016.

The Warrant states that on December 6th, Smith was in the 7100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway in Landover, MD where he entered a fast food restaurant. Smith is alleged to have placed an 8-inch knife to an employee’s ribs and threatened to kill her. According to the warrant Smith repeatedly asked “Who is messing with my folks?” when another employee grabbed Smith and said “let’s go” and the two left the restaurant together.

On December 19th, Deputies went to the 7800 block of Michele Drive in Hyattsville, MD to locate Smith. When the deputies knocked a man matching Smith’s description answered the door. The man was identified as Smith and placed into custody. He was safely transported to the Prince George’s County Police District III without incident.

Smith is also charged with Second Degree Assault and Dangerous Weapon with Intent to Injure.\
