Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report #PGSO

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:
Kidnapping Suspect Arrested

Brent Lowther of Waldorf, MD was arrested on an arrest warrant for Kidnapping obtained by the County Police on May 3, 2017.

According to the warrant, on May 1st, police responded to the 10700 block of Indian Head Highway in Fort Washington, MD for a reported citizen armed robbery. Once scene, the police spoke with the victim who stated that he was delivering pizza when he was approached by two suspects. He said that one of the suspects pointed a gun at him and demanded his property which he gave them. The warrant further states that they attempted to take the victims vehicle but when neither could operate a manual transmission, they forced the victim drive them down the street before exiting the vehicle. Lowther was later identified.

Upon receipt of the warrant, Sheriff’s Deputies’ investigation led them to multiple addresses before Lowther was located in the 3200 block of Swann Road in Suitland, MD where he was arrested without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

Lowther is also charged with Attempted Armed Carjacking, First Degree Assault, Armed Robbery, Firearm use in a Felonious Violent Crime, Assault Second Degree, Attempted unlawful taking of a Motor Vehicle, Attempted Rogue and Vagabond, and Theft less than $1,000.

Robbery Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Derrik Nsiah of Bowie, MD on an arrest warrant for Robbery that was obtained by the Montgomery County Police Department on July 29, 2017.

The Warrant states that on July 28, 2017, at a restaurant in the 13800 block of Outlet Drive in Silver Spring, Nsiah was involved in a customer dispute. He approached and asked a female employee for a full refund. When she offered a partial refund Nsiah is alleged to have reached over the counter as if to remove money from the cash register; he was unsuccessful. The warrant further states that Nsiah allegedly swung his hand and struck the victim in her arm, after which, he left the scene. The warrant indicates that there was a witness to the incident.

Upon receiving the warrant, Deputies went to an address in the 9900 block of Chessington Way in Bowie, MD. As they arrived, they spotted Nsiah exiting his vehicle whereupon he was advised of the warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

Nsiah was also charged with Second Degree Assault.
