Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Home Invasion Suspect


WARRANT/FUGITIVE DIVISION FELONY ARREST REPORT


Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Debra Wilkins on May 2, 2019 on a Home Invasion warrant obtained by County Police District III detectives on April 15, 2019.

  According to the warrant, on April 14, 2019, Debra Wilkins and an unknown male suspect broke into a home in the 3900 block of Suitland Road in Suitland, MD. Wilkins is alleged to have used a baseball bat to destroy the victim’s televisions, a lamp, and china cabinet. The male suspect is alleged to have held a knife to the victim threatening him not to move., after which they fled the scene.

The U. S. Marshal Services Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force was assigned the case. Deputies investigating Wilkins whereabouts located her at her residence in the 4400 block of Edson Place in Washington, D.C.

Deputies assigned to the Fugitive Task Force approached Wilkins after she got out of her vehicle and placed her under arrest. She was transported to Metropolitan Police Department for processing and will remain in custody until she is extradited back to Prince George’s County, MD.

Wilkins is also charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, 4th Degree Burglary, First- Degree Assault, Second- Degree Assault, and Reckless Endangerment.
