Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Attempted Murder Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest last Friday, March 9, 2012, of Norman Anthony Dryden for an arrest warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder, obtained by District I detectives from the Prince George’s County Police Department. According to the warrant Dryden stabbed a male victim several times on February 27, 2012, in the 1000 block of Merrimac Dr. in Hyattsville, MD.

On March 9, 2012, deputies from the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division, along with members from the U.S. Marshall’s Warrant Task Force located and apprehended Dryden at a Silver Spring, MD address. Dryden was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections where he is being held on a No Bond status and District I detectives were notified of Dryden’s arrest.

The warrant charges Dryden with Attempted First Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon with the Intent to Injure.
