Deputies Arrest Three Assault Suspects


Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Donzay Taywuan Brown, Donnell Floyd Brown, and Donna Veronica Brown on August 18, 2021, on a warrant for First Degree Assault and Conspiracy First Degree Assault obtained by county police on August 8, 2021.

According to the warrant, on August 7th, Police responded to the 1900 Block of Addison Rd South, in District Heights, MD, for a reported domestic violence call. Officers arrived and spoke with a victim who reported having a physical altercation involving a weapon with the suspects, Donna Brown, and her two sons, Donzay and Donnell Brown. Police learned that the victim arrived at the residence to gather some personal property to move out of the home, at which point the suspects were alleged to have punched and struck the victim with a firearm. The suspects are also alleged to have pointed the firearm at the victim while threatening to shoot.    

On August 18th, deputies executed a warrant service in the 1900 Block of Addison Rd South, in District Heights, MD. When deputies arrived, Donnell Brown answered, allowing them to enter the home. Once inside, Donnell Brown, Donzay Brown, and Donna Brown were all identified and served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to Prince George’s County Police District III Station, without incident.

Donzay Brown is also charged with Using a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime, Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and Having a Handgun on His Person. Donnell and Donna Brown were charged with Second Degree Assault and Conspiracy to Using a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime, Second Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.

Deputies Arrest Threat of Mass Violence Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Tolulope Oluwakorede Adetayo on August 12, 2021, on a warrant for Threat of Mass Violence obtained by county police on August 8, 2021.

According to the warrant, on August 8th, Adetayo called a local hospital, spoke with a call taker, and stated she planned to blow up (explosion) the hospital. The call taker asked Adetayo to repeat herself, at which point she said she was going to blow up the hospital. Detectives were able to identify Adetayo as the suspect through their investigation.

On August 12th, deputies determined that Adetayo could be located at an address in the 3500 Block of Hubbard Rd. in Landover, MD. When deputies arrived, a resident answered, allowing them to enter the home. Deputies were told that Adetayo was not there; however, they were given consent to search. During the search, Adetayo was located hiding in the hallway closet. Adetayo was removed, served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

Deputies Arrest First Degree Rape Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Francis Adeyinka Akande on August 7, 2021, on a warrant for First Degree Rape obtained by county police on August 6, 2021.

According to the warrant, on July 23, 2021, a victim walked into a local police station to report that Akande sexually assaulted them at a residence in the 4200 Block of Kaywood Dr. in Mount Rainier, MD. The victim reported dancing at a party when Akande forced them against the wall and began to perform sexual acts without consent.

On August 7th, deputies determined that Akande could be located at an address in the 4200 Block of Russell Ave, in Mount Rainier, MD. When deputies arrived, Akande answered the door, allowing them to enter the home. He was served the warrant, taken into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD.

Akande is also charged with Second Degree Rape, First Degree Assault, Second-Degree Assault, and Fourth Degree Sexual Contact without consent.
