Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect in Domestic Violence Related Call

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Molder Kennedy on November 17, 2020, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by deputies on November 14, 2020.

According to the warrant, on November 14th, deputies assigned to the Domestic Violence Intervention Division (DVID) responded to an address in the 2000 Block of Lakewood St. in Suitland, MD, for a reported domestic violence call. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim, who reported having an argument with Kennedy outside in a car. Kennedy is alleged to have strangled the victim, causing them to lose consciousness momentarily. The victim was transported to the hospital where they received treatment for their injuries.

On November 17th, deputies’ investigation led them to an address in the 4500 Block of Davis Ave in Suitland, Md. Upon arrival, deputies knocked on the door, which was answered by Kennedy. They served him the warrant, placed him into custody, and safely transported him to the Prince George's County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

Kennedy is also charged with Second Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.

Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Trevis Maurice Asbury on November 18, 2020, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by county police on November 17, 2020.

According to the warrant, on November 16th, police responded to the 1300 Block of Southview Dr, in Oxon Hill, MD, for a domestic violence call for service. Upon arrival, police learned that Asbury was involved in an altercation when he allegedly chased the victim into a bedroom with a firearm, pointing it at the victim before fleeing the scene.

On November 18th, deputies executed a warrant at Asbury’s residence in the 1300 Block of Southview Dr, in Oxon Hill, MD. Deputies knocked, and a male who answered the door identified himself as Asbury. He was served the warrant, taken into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Police Domestic Violence Unit (DVU) without incident.

Asbury is also charged with Second Degree Assault and Carrying a Handgun on His Person.

Deputies Arrest Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Chaz Dorrell Dimante Jones on November 17, 2020, on a warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder obtained by county police on October 23, 2020.

According to the warrant, on September 24th, police responded to the 3200 Block of 75th Ave in Hyattsville, MD, for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they discovered a male shot multiple times on the ground. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where he received treatment for his injuries. Detectives were able to identify Jones as the subject through their investigation.

On November 17th, deputies and members of the United States Marshals Service Capital Area Regionals Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) determined that Jones could be located at an address in the 3300 Block of 10th Pl. SE, Washington, DC. Deputies identified Jones inside where he was served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the Metropolitan Police Station for Processing without incident. Jones is awaiting extradition back to Prince George’s County, MD.

Jones is also charged with First Degree Assault, Armed Robbery, Robbery, Using a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime, Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Theft $100 To Under $1,500, and Credit Card Theft.

Deputies Arrest Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect


Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Kyjuan Tyree Redd on November 5, 2020, on a warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder obtained by county police on October 23, 2020.

According to the warrant, on September 24, police responded to the 3200 Block of 75th Ave in Hyattsville, MD, for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they discovered a male shot multiple times on the ground. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where he received treatment for his injuries. Detectives were able to identify Redd as the subject through their investigation.

On November 5, deputies determined that Redd could be located at an address in the 5400 Block of 85th Avenue in Hyattsville, MD. Deputies knocked on the door and spoke with the resident who answered and allowed them to enter the home. Deputies identified Redd inside where he was served the warrant, taken into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Police Department, Robbery Investigation Division (RID) in Landover, MD without incident.

Redd is also charged with First Degree Assault, Armed Robbery, Using a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime, Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Theft $100 To Under $1,500, and Credit Card Theft. Sheriff's Deputies Arrest Sex Abuse of a Minor Suspect


Upper Marlboro, MD…
The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Carl Butler on November 2, 2020, on a warrant for Sex Abuse of a Minor obtained by Police on October 17, 2020.

 

According to the warrant, on March 20, 2018, two minor victims disclosed that Butler had allegedly engaged in sexual acts with them at a residence in Brentwood, MD.

 

On November 2nd, deputies' investigation led them to an address in the 200 Block of Maryland Park Dr in Capitol Heights, MD. Deputies spoke with a resident who allowed them to enter the home. Butler was located inside, and deputies served him with the warrant before placing him into custody. Butler was safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

 

Butler is also charged with an additional count of Sex Abuse of a Minor.
