Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Martin Okezie Okonkwo on December 21, 2020, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by county police on November 17, 2020.

According to the warrant, on November 9th, police responded to a call in the 5800 Block of Hill Mar Dr. in District Heights, MD, for an assault. Officers arrived and learned that Okonkwo came to the victims home looking for his property that he believed they had taken. After being told it was not there, Okonkwo allegedly became angry, attempting to strangle the victim before leaving the scene. Detectives were able to identify Okonkwo as the suspect through their investigation.

On December 21, deputies spoke with Okonkwo by phone, notified him of the warrant, and convinced him to turn himself in. Deputies coordinated a location to meet with him, where he was served the warrant, taken into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

Okonkwo is also charged with two counts of Second-Degree Assault.

Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Jeffrey Keith Pfifer on December 16, 2020, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by county police on November 18, 2020.

According to the warrant, on November 10th, police responded to a call in the 6500 Block of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway in Landover, MD, for an armed person. Officers arrived and learned that Pfifer was at a local mechanic’s shop, where he allegedly pointed a firearm threating to shoot employees after being refused service. Pfifer had already left the scene before the police arrived. Detectives were able to identify Pfifer as the suspect through their investigation.

On December 16th, deputies spoke with Pfifer by phone, notified him of the warrant, and convinced him to turn himself in. Deputies coordinated a location to meet with him, where he was peacefully served the warrant, taken into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

Pfifer is also charged with Second Degree Assault Carrying a Handgun on His Person, and Knowingly Transporting a Handgun in a Vehicle

Deputies Arrest Third Degree Burglary Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of James Earl Fells on December 16, 2020, on a warrant for Third Degree Burglary obtained by county police on August 27, 2020.

According to the warrant, on August 27th, police responded to a call in the 2100 Block of Alice Ave in Oxon Hill, MD, for an unknown trouble. When officers arrived, they learned that Fells had forced his way into his former girlfriends’ home, where he was alleged to have assaulted her after an argument. Fells fled the scene before police arrived.

On December 16th, deputies spoke with Fells by phone, notified him of the warrant, and convinced him to turn himself in. Deputies coordinated a location to meet with him, where he was peacefully served the warrant, taken into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

Fells is also charged with Second Degree Assault and, Malicious Destruction Of property.

Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Shawn Demetrius Ogburn on December 15, 2020, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by county police on December 6, 2020.

According to the warrant, on November 28th, police responded to a call in the 7600 Block of Stanmore Dr, in Beltsville, MD, for an assault with a weapon. Upon arrival, police learned that Ogburn had allegedly been involved in a physical altercation that resulted in the victim being stabbed. Ogburn fled the scene before police arrived and the victim was transported to the local hospital where they received treatment for their injuries.

On December 15th, deputies determined that Ogburn could be located in the 9900 block of Greenbelt Rd in Lanham, MD. When deputies arrived they observed Ogburn outside; he was served the warrant, taken into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Police Domestic Violence Unit (DVU) without incident.

Ogburn is also charged with Second Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.

Deputies Arrest Robbery Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Joseph Lamar Bostick on December 8, 2020, on a warrant for Robbery obtained by the county police on December 3, 2020.

According to the warrant, on December 2nd, county police responded to the 4100 Block of Southern Ave for a reported strong-armed robbery. Police learned that the two victims agreed to meet with Bostick and several other people they both knew. When Bostick and the others arrived, they began assaulting the victims before taking all their personal property and fleeing the scene. Both victims were treated at a local hospital for their injuries. Detectives were able to identify Bostick as one of the suspects through their investigation.

On December 8th, deputies determined that Bostick could be located in the 4100 Block of Southern Ave, in Capitol Heights, MD. Upon arrival, deputies knocked, and Bostick answered, allowing them to enter the home. Bostick was served the warrant, taken into custody, and safely transported to detectives with the Prince George’s County Police Department without incident.

Bostick is also charged with two counts of Second-Degree Assault and Theft $100 to Under $1,500.

Deputies Arrest Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Derrick Cofield on December 7th, 2020, on a warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder obtained by the county police on December 2, 2020.

According to the warrant on December 1, 2020, Cofield was driving a vehicle in the 3200 block of Walters Lane when he fired multiple shots at the victim as they drove away. The victim drove to a safe location and called police. Deputies from the Office of the Sheriff responded to the victim’s location and safely transported the victim to Prince George’s County Police Criminal Investigation Division (CID) where she reiterated the events.

On December 7th, deputies thru their investigation were able to locate Cofield in the 3200 block of Walters Lane in District Heights, MD. Deputies were allowed entry into the residence and Cofield was taken into custody and transported to Criminal Investigations Division (CID).

Cofield is also charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder, Firearm use in Felonious Violent Crime, Assault First Degree, Assault Second Degree, Loaded Handgun in Vehicle, Loaded handgun on Person, Handgun on Person, Handgun in Vehicle, and Reckless Endangerment.

Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect in Domestic Violence Related Call

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Antoine Dalanta Smith on December 8, 2020, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by county police on November 30, 2020.

According to the warrant, on November 30th, deputies assigned to the Domestic Violence Intervention Division (DVID) responded to a local gas station in District Heights, MD, for a domestic violence call involving a weapon. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim, who reported arguing with Smith at a home in the 3700 Block of Donnell Dr. in District Heights, MD. Smith is alleged to have pointed a firearm at the victim, threatening to shoot. The victim was able to run from the home to a local gas station to call 911.

On December 8th, deputies executed a warrant service in the 3700 Block of Donnell Dr. in District Heights, MD. Deputies knocked on the door and a resident allowed them to enter. Smith was identified in a bedroom where he was served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit without incident.

Smith is also charged with Using a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime, Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and Having a handgun on his person.

Deputies Arrest Alleged Sex Abuse of a Minor Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Javier Huerta on December 8th, 2020, on a warrant for Sex Abuse of a Minor obtained by the county police on November 7th, 2020.

According to the warrant on May 21, 2020, a county police detective responded to conduct interviews with the victim of the alleged sexual abuse along with a family member. Detectives contacted Huerta on a later date and he voluntarily responded to be interviewed where he denied the allegation.

On December 8th, deputies who were assigned the warrant, spoke with Huerta by telephone. During the conversation he advised he would turn himself in. Huerta met the deputies and was peacefully taken into custody without incident. Huerta was safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro Maryland.

Huerta is also charged with Second Degree Assault, and Sex Offense Third Degree, and Sex Offense Fourth Degree.

Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspects

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Lesly Noemy Avalos and D’Vaughn Tilghman Killgo on December 3, 2020, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by county police on November 21, 2020.

According to the warrant, on November 21st, police responded to the 3300 Block of Dunning Rd, in Beltsville, MD, for a reported assault involving a weapon. Upon arrival, police learned that Killgo and Avalos arrived at the victim's residence unannounced. When the victim opened the door, she was assaulted by Avalos and Killgo who also pulled out a firearm, pointing it at the victim before fleeing the scene. Detectives were able to identify both suspects through their investigation.

On December 3rd, deputies executed a warrant at Killgo’s residence in the 11000 Block of Lockwood Dr, in Silver Spring, MD. Deputies knocked, and Avalos answered the door allowing them to enter. Once inside, Avalos and Killgo were both identified by deputies, served the warrant, taken into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID) without incident.

Avalos and Killgo were also charged with First Degree Assault, Using a Firearm in The Commission of a Crime, Second Degree Assault, and Reckless Endangerment. In addition, Killgo is also charged with Carrying a Handgun on His Person, and Carrying a Handgun in a Vehicle.

Deputies Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Kaseem Arness Pierce on November 30, 2020, on a warrant for Armed Robbery obtained by police on June 24, 2020.

According to the warrant, on May 27th, a victim responded to the county police station in, Clinton, MD to report that they had just been robbed. Police learned that the victim agreed to meet with Pierce in order to purchase a cell phone. When Pierce arrived, he displayed a firearm, demanding the victim’s money before fleeing the scene. Detectives were able to identify Pierce as the subject through their investigation.

On November 30th, deputies determined that Pierce could be located in the 5000 Block of Taft Rd, in Temple Hills, MD. Upon arrival, deputies knocked on the door and spoke with a resident who allowed them to enter the home. Pierce was identified in the back bedroom, where he was served the warrant, taken into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD without incident.


Pierce is also charged with Robbery and Theft $100 to Under $1,500

Deputies Arrest Sex Abuse of a Minor Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD The Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Ronny Martinez-Marroquin on November 30, 2020, on a warrant for Sex Abuse of a Minor obtained by police on November 12, 2020.

According to the warrant, in February 2020, through September 2020, a minor victim disclosed that on several different occasions, they were allegedly forced by Martinez-Marroquin into having sexual intercourse with him at a home located in Capitol Heights, MD.

On November 30th, deputies executed the warrant for Martinez-Marroquin at a home in Capitol Heights, MD. When deputies knocked on the door the resident who answered allowed them to enter the home. Once inside, deputies identified Martinez-Marroquin and served the warrant, placed him into custody, and safely transported him to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

Martinez-Marroquin is also charged with Second-Degree Rape, Second-Degree Assault Third Degree Sex Offense and Fourth Degree Sexual Contact.
