Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest First Degree Sexual Offense Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest today of Anthony L. Green of Hyattsville, MD, for an arrest warrant charging him with First Degree Sex Offense. According to the warrant, applied for by the Hyattsville City Police Department, Green sexually assaulted a female yesterday whom he had tied up with duct tape. The incident occurred in the 5600 block of Ager Rd. in Hyattsville. 

Sheriff’s Deputies, with the assistance of members from the Hyattsville Police, Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), and U.S. Secret Service located and apprehended Green in the 1400 Fairmont St., NW, Washington DC.

Green is currently being held in Washington, DC, charged as a Fugitive for Prince Georges County. His charges are First and Second Degree Sex Offense, Sodomy, and Second Degree Assault.

Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Bowie Woman for Felony Assault Warrant

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest yesterday of Kyra Chimere Smith for an arrest warrant dated March 10, 2012, filed by the Bowie Police Department (BPD). According to the warrant, Smith assaulted her mother and father before grabbing a knife and threatening to kill her father.

The warrant further states that Smith attempted to jump from a second story window while holding her one year old child, before BPD officers could restrain her. Deputies from the Warrant/Fugitive Division conducted an investigation into Smith’s whereabouts, and on March 19, 2012, they apprehended her at an address in Largo, MD.

The BPD was notified of Smith’s arrest and she was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections where she is being held on a $175,000.00 bond. She is charged with First and Second Degree Assault, Second Degree Child Abuse, Reckless Endangerment, and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon with Intent to Injure.

Sheriff’s Deputies Assist Prince William County, VA. Police With Arrest of Rape Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Warrant/Division reported the arrest last Thursday of Robert Henry Floyd for a State of Virginia arrest warrant charging him with Child Sexual Assault. According to the warrant, Floyd allegedly raped an eight year old victim in Dumfries, VA, in 2010.
Detectives from the Prince William County Police Special Victims Unit received information that Floyd might be staying at a location in Prince George’s County, MD. Following an investigation by Sheriff’s Deputies, Floyd was located and apprehended at an address in Largo, MD.

Detectives from the Prince William County Police were notified of Floyd’s arrest and he is being held at the Prince William County Regional Adult Detention Center, charged with Rape.

Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Attempted Murder Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest last Friday, March 9, 2012, of Norman Anthony Dryden for an arrest warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder, obtained by District I detectives from the Prince George’s County Police Department. According to the warrant Dryden stabbed a male victim several times on February 27, 2012, in the 1000 block of Merrimac Dr. in Hyattsville, MD.

On March 9, 2012, deputies from the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division, along with members from the U.S. Marshall’s Warrant Task Force located and apprehended Dryden at a Silver Spring, MD address. Dryden was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections where he is being held on a No Bond status and District I detectives were notified of Dryden’s arrest.

The warrant charges Dryden with Attempted First Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon with the Intent to Injure.

Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Suspect Wanted for Domestic Related Felony Assault

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Warrant/Fugitive division reported the arrest last Wednesday, March 7, 2012, of Steven James Talley Jr. for an arrest warrant dated February 29, 2012. Talley is alleged to have struck a female victim several times about the face before choking her until she lost consciousness.

Following an investigation into Talley’s whereabouts, deputies from the Warrant/Fugitive division located and apprehended Talley at his place of employment in Bowie, MD.

District VI detectives from the Prince George’s County Police Department were notified of Talley’s arrest. Talley is charged with First and Second Degree Assault, and has been released from the Prince George’s County Detention Center on bond.
