Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect


Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Jackie Vonetta Wilson on September 24, 2020, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by County Police on September 15, 2020.


 


According to the warrant, on September 15th, police responded to an address in Laurel, MD, to take a report of a  dispute that resulted in injuries from an involved weapon. The victim stated to officers that he was at a location in Accokeek, MD to conduct business with Wilson when they became engaged in a physical altercation. According to the victim, Wilson is alleged to have pulled out a sharp object and began stabbing the victim, who was able to transport himself to a hospital and treated for his injuries.


 


On September 24th, deputies went to the address in Accokeek, MD. When deputies knocked on the door a female, identified as Wilson, answered. Deputies served Wilson the warrant, placed her into custody, and  safely transported her to the Prince George's County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.    


 


Wilson is also charged with Second Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.

Deputies Arrest Felony Theft $1,500 – $25,000 Suspect


Upper Marlboro, MD
… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Terrell Louis Coghill on September 25, 2020, on a warrant for Felony Theft $1,500 – $25,000 obtained by County Police detectives on September 14, 2020.

According to the warrant, shortly after midnight on February 12th, Bowie City police were called to the 1300 Block of Durham Dr. in Bowie, MD about suspicious individuals tampering with cars in the area. When officers arrived, they observed 3 individuals walking and one immediately fled. Coghill, along with another individual rushed and entered a vehicle, but were confronted and detained by an officer. When officers checked the vehicle’s information, they discovered that it had been reported stolen the day before.

 

On September 25th, deputies’ investigation led them to an address in the 1700 Block of Addison Rd South, in District Heights, MD where deputies knocked and were allowed entry by a resident. Coghill was located inside where he was served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George's County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.    

 

Coghill is also charged with Theft $100 To Under $1,500, Unauthorized Removal of a Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle, and Rogue and Vagabond.

Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Assault First Degree Suspect


Upper Marlboro, MD…
The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Melvin Pitts on September 17th for a First-Degree Assault warrant obtained by the County Police on September 10th.

 

According to the warrant, sheriff deputies responded to a domestic violence call at a residence on Limerick Way in Hyattsville, MD. On scene, they met with the victim who stated that Pitts – who had left the scene before deputies arrived – had become angry during an argument, damaged her belongings and began striking her with his fist. The injured victim said she was able to run outside and used a neighbor’s phone to call for help. The victim went to the hospital and received treatment for her injuries, which included a broken jaw.  

 

Upon receipt of the warrant, deputies’ investigation led them to an address in the 7000 block of Donnell Place in Suitland, MD.  Pitts was taken into custody without incident and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

 

Pitts is also charged with Second- Degree Assault and Malicious Destruction of Property.

Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect

 


Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Huberto Lopez on September 14, 2020, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by county police on September 12, 2020.

 

According to the warrant, on September 11th, Lopez is alleged to have forced his way into the victim’s bedroom, where he struck the victim multiple times before taking the victim's property and fleeing the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital where they received treatment for their injuries.

 

On September 14th, deputies located Lopez at a hotel in Lanham, MD. When deputies knocked on the door, a male fitting the description answered and identified himself as Lopez. He was served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

 

Lopez is also charged with Home Invasion, First Degree Burglary, 2 Counts of Third-Degree Burglary, Motor vehicle Theft, Unauthorized Use of a Motor vehicle, Second-degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Fourth Degree Burglary/Theft.

Deputies Arrest Felony Firearm/Drug Trafficking Crime Suspect


Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Charles Dion Jones on August 28, 2020, on a warrant for Felony Firearm/Drug Trafficking Crime obtained by County Police on July 22, 2020.

According to the warrant, on July 15th while on patrol in the area of 50 Watkins Park Dr., police observed several individuals loitering and drinking alcohol next to a bus stop. Jones was observed taking a photo with a large amount of money in his hand. When officers approached, Jones fled immediately, eluding the officers but dropping a bag containing identification, a gun and a felony-level quantity of drugs packaged for sale.

On August 28th, deputies’ investigation led them to an address in the 12000 Block of Whiteholm Dr, in Upper Marlboro, MD. Knocking upon arrival, the resident who answered the door allowed them to enter where Jones was identified. Deputies served Jones the warrant, placed him into custody, and transported him safely to the Prince George's County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

Jones is also charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of an Illegal Firearm, 2 counts of Transporting a Loaded Handgun and Possession of CDS Marijuana over 10 Grams.
