According to the warrant, on September 11th, Lopez is alleged to have forced his way into the victim’s bedroom, where he struck the victim multiple times before taking the victim's property and fleeing the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital where they received treatment for their injuries.
On
September 14th, deputies located Lopez at a hotel in Lanham, MD. When
deputies knocked on the door, a male fitting the description answered and identified
himself as Lopez. He was served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely
transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper
Marlboro, MD, without incident.
Lopez
is also charged with Home Invasion, First Degree Burglary, 2 Counts of Third-Degree
Burglary, Motor vehicle Theft, Unauthorized Use of a Motor vehicle, Second-degree
Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Fourth Degree Burglary/Theft.
