The Prince George's County Sheriff's Office Participates In The Annual Christmas In April Event 2021

Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Etta Ayuk on April 19, 2021, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by The New Carrolton Police Department on April 8, 2021.

According to the warrant, on March 12th, police responded to the 7600 Block of Fontainebleau Dr, in New Carrollton, MD, for a reported domestic violence call. Upon arrival, police spoke with a victim who reported having a conversation with Ayuk that turned physical when the victim attempted to leave the room. Ayuk was alleged to have grabbed and slammed the victim’s head into the headboard and forced the victim to the floor. Further, Ayuk allegedly placed his hands around the victim’s throat causing the victim to have trouble breathing. Ayuk Fled the scene before police arrived. Police were able to identify Ayuk as the suspect through their investigation.

On April 19th, deputies executed a warrant service at Ayuk’s home. Deputies knocked on the door and Ayuk answered allowing them to enter the home, where he was served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

Ayuk is also charged with Second Degree Assault, and Reckless Endangerment.

Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Jamaal Marcelle on April 19, 2021, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by county police on April 8, 2021

According to the warrant, on April 8th, police responded to the 5800 Block of Eastern Ave in Hyattsville, MD, for a report of a person cut with a knife. Upon arrival, police spoke with a victim who reported working behind the location when Marcelle approached him and began arguing. Marcelle allegedly retrieved a knife, stabbing the victim in the torso. A bystander intervened, causing Marcelle to flee the scene. Detectives were able to identify Marcelle as the suspect through their investigation.

On April 19th, deputies executed a warrant service at Marcelle’s home in Laurel, MD. Deputies knocked on the door and spoke with a resident, who advised he was not home. Deputies left their contact information with the resident. Moments later, Marcelle called deputies to turn himself in. Once at the designated location, deputies served him the warrant, placed him into custody, and safely transported him to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

Marcelle is also charged with Second Degree Assault, Carrying a Deadly Weapon With the Intent to Cause Injury, and Reckless Endangerment.

Deputies Arrest Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Tyrae Lamarr Steele on April 9, 2021, on a warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder obtained by county police on March 31, 2021.

According to the warrant, on August 4, 2018, police responded to the 3400 Block of Strawberry Hill Dr. in Clinton, MD, for a reported vehicle accident. When officers arrived, they discovered a victim sitting in a vehicle unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Detectives learned that Steele, alongside two other subjects, who the victim knew, agreed to meet at a park. The victim disclosed that when Steele and the two others arrived, they were shot and robbed of their personal property. Steele fled the scene before police arrived. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where they received treatment for injuries. Detectives were able to identify Steele as the shooter through their investigation.

On April 9th, deputies conducted a full investigation on the whereabouts of Steele. After being notified that deputies were searching for him. Steele agreed to meet with deputies to turn himself in. Upon arrival, Steele was served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

Steele is also charged with conspiring with another to unlawfully steal from them with a dangerous weapon (Con-Armed Robbery)

Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Lawrence Daniel White on April 2, 2021, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by The Hyattsville City Police Department on March 20, 2021.

According to the warrant, on March 19th, detectives were informed by The Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department of an assault that occurred in the 4400 Block of Kennedy St. in Hyattsville, MD. Upon arrival, detectives spoke with a victim who reported having an argument with White that turned physical. White allegedly punched the victim in the face causing them to lose consciousness. The victim also disclosed being assaulted frequently by White and was previously assaulted with a weapon. Detectives were able to identify White as the suspect through their investigation.

On April 2nd, deputies executed a warrant service in the 4400 Block of Kennedy St. in Hyattsville, MD. Deputies knocked, and White answered the door, allowing deputies to enter the home. Once inside, he was served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

White is also charged with Second Degree Assault.
