Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Lawrence Daniel White on April 2, 2021, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by The Hyattsville City Police Department on March 20, 2021.

According to the warrant, on March 19^th, detectives were informed by The Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department of an assault that occurred in the 4400 Block of Kennedy St. in Hyattsville, MD. Upon arrival, detectives spoke with a victim who reported having an argument with White that turned physical. White allegedly punched the victim in the face causing them to lose consciousness. The victim also disclosed being assaulted frequently by White and was previously assaulted with a weapon. Detectives were able to identify White as the suspect through their investigation.

On April 2^nd, deputies executed a warrant service in the 4400 Block of Kennedy St. in Hyattsville, MD. Deputies knocked, and White answered the door, allowing deputies to enter the home. Once inside, he was served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

White is also charged with Second Degree Assault.
