Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Etta Ayuk on April 19, 2021, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by The New Carrolton Police Department on April 8, 2021.

According to the warrant, on March 12th, police responded to the 7600 Block of Fontainebleau Dr, in New Carrollton, MD, for a reported domestic violence call. Upon arrival, police spoke with a victim who reported having a conversation with Ayuk that turned physical when the victim attempted to leave the room. Ayuk was alleged to have grabbed and slammed the victim’s head into the headboard and forced the victim to the floor. Further, Ayuk allegedly placed his hands around the victim’s throat causing the victim to have trouble breathing. Ayuk Fled the scene before police arrived. Police were able to identify Ayuk as the suspect through their investigation.

On April 19th, deputies executed a warrant service at Ayuk’s home. Deputies knocked on the door and Ayuk answered allowing them to enter the home, where he was served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

Ayuk is also charged with Second Degree Assault, and Reckless Endangerment.
