Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Trevis Maurice Asbury on November 18, 2020, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by county police on November 17, 2020.

According to the warrant, on November 16^th, police responded to the 1300 Block of Southview Dr, in Oxon Hill, MD, for a domestic violence call for service. Upon arrival, police learned that Asbury was involved in an altercation when he allegedly chased the victim into a bedroom with a firearm, pointing it at the victim before fleeing the scene.

On November 18^th, deputies executed a warrant at Asbury’s residence in the 1300 Block of Southview Dr, in Oxon Hill, MD. Deputies knocked, and a male who answered the door identified himself as Asbury. He was served the warrant, taken into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Police Domestic Violence Unit (DVU) without incident.

Asbury is also charged with Second Degree Assault and Carrying a Handgun on His Person.
