Warrant Deputies Arrest Attempted Murder Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Wednesday of Damon Lucas on an Attempted Murder warrant obtained by County Police District III detectives on August 3, 2012.

According to the warrant, Lucas allegedly physically assaulted one male victim, and stabbed another male victim following an argument outside of a residence in the 2300 block of Vermont Ave, in Landover, MD.

Deputies attempting to locate Lucas were led to an address in the 2300 block of Vermont Ave. Lucas resisted initial attempts at his arrest, and additional deputies were needed to apprehend him.

District III detectives were notified of the arrest and Lucas was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections where he is being held on a No Bond status. Lucas is charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, two counts of First Degree Assault, and two counts of Second Degree Assault. Lucas is also wanted in Marion County Florida for Violating Probation on a domestic battery charge.
