Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Suspect Wanted for “Armed Carjacking”

Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest yesterday of Calvin Pettaway on an arrest warrant for Armed Carjacking obtained by County Police District III detectives on September 5, 2012.
 
According to the warrant, on August 9, 2012, Pettaway used a handgun to demand the vehicle of a male victim in the 1000 block of 59th Ave, Seat Pleasant, MD. The victim complied with the order and Pettaway fled. 

Deputies investigating Pettaway’s whereabouts were led to the 4800 block of Addison Rd, Capitol Heights, MD, where they located and apprehended him without incident.

District III detectives were notified of the arrest and Pettaway was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections - charged with Armed Carjacking, Carjacking, First and Second Degree Assault, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Theft, Motor Vehicle Theft, and Illegal Possession of a Handgun.
