Deputies Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Monday of Auctavius Blackwell on an arrest warrant for Armed Robbery obtained by County Police District III detectives on March 6, 2013.

According to the warrant, Blackwell and four other suspects robbed a male victim on March 1, 2013, in the 1400 block of Nye St. in Fairmount Heights, MD. The suspects approached the victim, produced a knife and handgun, and demanded his coat. Blackwell allegedly stole the victim’s coat and shirt before all suspects fled the scene.

Deputies investigating Blackwell’s whereabouts were led to a residence in the 5000 block of Southern Ave. in S.E., Washington D.C, where they located and apprehended him without incident.

District III detectives were notified of Blackwell’s arrest and he was transported to the 6th District Station of the Metropolitan Police Department – charged as a Fugitive from Prince George’s County, MD. Blackwell is also charged with Armed Robbery, Robbery, First and Second Degree Assault, and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.
