Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report #PGSO

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:

Attempted Second Degree Murder Suspect Extradited

Sheriff’s deputies extradited Trevor Alston to Prince George’s County, MD on April 23, 2016 from the Sumpter Regional Jail in Sumpter, SC. Alston, who is from Oxon Hill, MD, was wanted on an arrest warrant for Attempted Second Degree Murder issued by the District Court of Prince George's County on November 26, 2015.

According to the warrant which was issued on the day the event occurred, Alston was at the Intersection of 62nd Avenue and Longfellow Street in Riverdale, MD, where he allegedly was engaged in a domestic dispute. During the altercation, Alston is alleged to have grabbed one woman by the neck and stabbed her multiple times in the chest. The warrant further alleges that Alston stabbed two other victims multiple times about the body while they were attempting to assist the original victim. Alston fled the scene. Two of the victims were transported to the hospital; the other victim sought treatment later.

Alston is also charged with First and Second Degree Assault, and Reckless Endangerment.

Attempted Second Degree Murder Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Roderick Snowden of Lanham, MD, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for Attempted Second Degree Murder that was obtained by Prince George’s County Police on April 16, 2016.

According to the warrant, on the same day that the warrant was obtained, Snowden and his brother were engaged in an argument that turned into a physical altercation at a residence located in the 9000 block of Good Luck Road in Lanham, MD. Snowden allegedly punched the victim several times until he fell to the ground. During the altercation, the victim retrieved a handgun which Snowden took and fired several shots striking the victims’ leg after which he fled the scene in the victims’ vehicle.

On April 21, 2016, Sheriff Deputies’ located Snowden sitting outside of the residence where the incident occurred. He was positively identified and taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

Snowden is also charged with First and Second Degree Assault, Firearm use in a Felonious Violent Crime and Reckless Endangerment.
