Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report #PGSO

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:

Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Daquan Robinson, of Suitland, MD on an arrest warrant for Armed Robbery obtained by the County Police on December 20th, 2016.

According to the warrant, on December 15th, County Police responded to the 2600 block of Shadyside Avenue in Suitland, MD for a reported citizen armed robbery. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the victim who stated that he had met two suspects in order to purchase a cell phone. The warrant states that when he started to look at the phone one of the suspects displayed a handgun a stated “show me the money, don’t run or I’ll shoot you”. The warrant further states that a struggle ensued but the victim was able to escape. Police investigative work led them to Robinson’s location.

Upon receipt of the warrant, Sheriff’s Deputies went to Robinson’s address. When Robinson answered their knock, deputies informed him of the warrant. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

Robinson is also charged with Robbery, Assault First Degree, and Assault Second Degree.
 
Robbery Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Joseph Rutledge of Hyattsville, MD on an arrest warrant for Robbery that was obtained by the Hyattsville City Police on December 22, 2016.

The Warrant states that on December 12th, a taxi driver was sitting in his car in the 5800 block of 38th Avenue in Hyattsville when he was approached by an unknown man who knocked on his window. When the driver rolled down his window the man is alleged to have punched him in the chest and reach into the taxi and grab the driver’s work-issued radio. The suspect then escaped in another vehicle. The warrant further states that County Police were called to the scene and the taxi supervisor was able to track the radio to Rutledge; the radio was recovered.

On receiving the warrant deputies’ went to the address in the 5800 block of 38th Avenue in Hyattsville, MD. When deputies knocked on the door they were granted entry by a resident. Once inside deputies advised Rutledge that they had a warrant for him. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

Rutledge is also charged with Second Degree Assault and Theft less than $1000.
