First Degree Assault Suspects Arrested

Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report


Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:

First Degree Assault Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Ezhara Buie of Bowie, MD on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by the County Police on May 8th, 2017.

According to the warrant, on March 28th, a man reported to the police that he had agreed to meet Buie, a known acquaintance, to purchase a cell phone for $250 dollars. The victim stated that when he arrived he was confronted by Buie and another suspect who pointed a gun at him and demanded the money, his cell phone, and his car keys. The suspects instructed the victim to get inside the trunk of a vehicle but after a brief struggle the victim broke free and fled for help. The warrant further states that the victim saw both Buie and the other suspect drive away.

Upon receipt of the warrant, Sheriff’s Deputies investigation determined that Buie could be located at an address in Bowie MD. Deputies went to the location and informed Buie that there was a warrant for her arrest; she was taken into custody without incident and transported to Prince George’s County Police District III.

Buie is also charged with First Degree Assault, Armed Robbery, and Firearm use in a Felony Violent Crime, Robbery, Assault Second Degree, and Handgun in Vehicle.

First Degree Assault Suspect Arrested

Sheriff Deputies arrested Angel Paz-Cabrera of Laurel MD on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by the County Police on April 23rd.

The warrant states that on March 26th, Paz-Cabrera was involved in a physical altercation with another man outside an apartment complex. Paz-Cabrera is alleged to have cut the man’s face with a piece of glass; the victim was transported to the hospital for medical attention.
The deputies investigation led them to an address in the 8700 block of Contee Road in Laurel, MD. Deputies arrived at the location and were allowed to enter the residence where they found Paz-Cabrera. They informed him of the warrant and he was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections without incident.

Paz-Cabrera is also charged with Second Degree Assault.
