Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Vehicular Manslaughter Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Tuesday of Michael O’Connor on an arrest warrant for Vehicular Manslaughter, issued by the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, MD, on January 23, 2013. 

According to court documents, O’Connor was indicted by a Prince George’s County Grand Jury for a June 24, 2012, Vehicular Manslaughter in College Park, MD. According to the police report, Bernard Coatley Jr. was killed after the vehicle he was operating was struck as he attempted to make a left turn from Delaware St. in College Park, MD. An investigation revealed that O’Connor was the operator of the striking vehicle in the collision.

Deputies investigating the whereabouts of O’Connor were led to an address in the 5100 block of Iroquois St. in College Park, MD, where he was located and apprehended without incident.

The Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, MD, was notified of O’Connor’s arrest and he was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections – charged with Vehicular Manslaughter, Vehicular Homicide, Driving Under the Influence, Reckless and Negligent Driving, and Speeding.

Deputies Arrest Felony Assault Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Monday of Andre Miller, on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by Sheriff’s Domestic Violence Intervention Division deputies on December 22, 2012.

According to the warrant, Miller was involved in a verbal dispute with his wife on December 22, 2012, in the 6900 block of Forest Terr. in Landover, MD. Following the verbal dispute, Miller threatened to kill his wife and attempted to stab her with a pocket knife, before fleeing the scene.

Deputies met with the victim, completed a Domestic Violence Lethality Screening, and determined that she was at “high risk” for further instances of domestic violence. Based on the investigation, deputies sought assault charges against Miller, and referred the victim to Sheriff’s Domestic Violence Advocates for further assistance.

After several unsuccessful attempts at locating Miller, deputies investigating his whereabouts were led to the 6900 block of Forest Terr. in Landover, MD, where he was apprehended without incident.

The Sheriff’s Domestic Violence Intervention Division was notified Miller’s arrest, and he was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections – charged with First and Second Degree Assault.

Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Monday of Emmanuel Adegoke on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault, obtained by County Police District V detectives on January 29, 2013.

According to the warrant, Adegoke assaulted a female victim on January 20, 2013, at a residence in the 9600 block of Marilyn Ivy Ct. in Upper Marlboro, MD. Adegoke allegedly choked and punched the victim, before chasing her around the residence with a knife. The victim was able to escape the residence and contact police, and Adegoke fled the scene.

Deputies investigating Adegoke’s whereabouts were led to 100 block of Independence Ave. in Washington, D.C., where he was located and apprehended without incident.

District V detectives were notified of Adegoke’s arrest and he was transported to the D.C. Department of Corrections – charged as a fugitive for Prince George’s County, MD.

Warrant Division Arrests two Attempted First Degree Murder Suspects


Upper Marlboro, MD… The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Monday of Jose Rodas-Alvarado and Roni Arriola-Palma on Attempted First Degree Murder arrest warrants, obtained by County Police, District I detectives.

According to the warrant, on January 14, 2011, Rodas-Alvarado and Arriola-Palma along with two other unidentified men attacked and forced a male victim into a minivan before physically assaulting him while in the 5800 block of 10th Place in Hyattsville, MD. The four suspects allegedly undressed and threw the male victim from the van, dragging him into a wooded area, where they began stabbing him with knives. All four suspects subsequently fled the scene. The police investigation also determined that all suspects are believed to be members of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang.

Deputies investigating the whereabouts of Rodas-Alvarado and Arriola-Palma were led to the 6000 block of 20th Avenue in Hyattsville, MD where Rodas-Alvarado was taken into custody and transported to the County Police Criminal Investigations Division (CID). 

Deputies located Arriola-Prima in the 1800 block of L Street N.W. Washington D.C where he was taken into custody after a brief foot chase. He was transported to the District of Columbia Department of Corrections, where he will await extradition to Prince George’s County, MD.


Both Rodas-Alvardo and Arriola-Prima are charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, Kidnapping, First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, and Theft: Less than $1,000.00 and Reckless Endangerment.

Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Attempted Murder Suspect


Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Wednesday of Andre Hamilton on an arrest warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder, obtained by officers from the City of New Carrollton Police Department on December 6, 2012.

According to the warrant, Hamilton accosted a male victim on November 28, 2012, in the 5400 block of 85th Avenue in New Carrollton  MD. According to witnesses, Hamilton used a handgun to shoot the victim three times, before fleeing the scene.

Deputies investigating Hamilton’s whereabouts were led to the 1500 block of Chillum Rd. in Chillum, MD, where he was located and arrested without incident.

The New Carrollton Police Department was notified of Hamilton’s arrest and he was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections – charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Violent Crime and Reckless Endangerment.
