Sheriff’s Office Partners with Leadership Prince George’s Inc. For Christmas Food Basket Program

Prince George’s County, Md…Chief Assistant Sheriff Darrin Palmer attended a holiday event with the members of Leadership Prince George’s, Inc., who donated canned and non-perishable food items in support of the Public Safety Assistance Christmas Food Basket Program. Leadership Prince George’s, Inc., (LPG) is a program that supports bringing leaders and citizens of Prince George’s County together to build and strengthen community needs.

Since 1985 the organization has been dedicated to enlightening citizens about area needs within the county.
Marva Jo Camp, Esq., the LPG Chair said, “Leadership Prince George’s is committed to improving the County by bringing leaders together to share ideas and work for the common good.  This is one example that demonstrates the individual leaders’ outreach and willingness to give back.

We were pleased to partner with the Public Safety Assistance Program to support their work for deserving families in Prince George’s County.” The Food Basket Program lost over $15,000 of canned and non perishable food items as a result of flooding of the County Warehouse earlier this year. Collection barrels are placed throughout Prince George’s County buildings to include all Public Safety Agency locations.
